When we walk
upon the shores
of a strange land
there is an apprehension
a keen awareness
It is the quickening
of our senses
into a single point
a narrowing
of focus
We place ourselves
in a state of limitedness
of being not fully present
of defensiveness
This is the moment
of realization
in which
we can open ourselves
Allowing the brilliance
and power that we are
to fully evolve
into the newness
To take on the energies
as they present themselves
and move into the unknown
